PHOTO SHOOT

hello everyone,
Today is Quincy's 3 week birthday!!!! Quincy has started to grab and hold on to hair and necklaces. He is also working on holding his head up all by himself. Sam & Winkie Dru have been visiting all week. Quincy has really enjoyed napping with his grandparents. I am not sure how I will survive when they leave. Luckily my mom is staying in Santa Cruz for another two weeks. On Wednesday Quincy, Walter and I had a photo shot with a local photographer. See the link for some of the amazing photos.

Happy Birthday MOM.....

Hello everyone,
Quincy Kai is now 2 weeks and 2 days old. Walter & I are sooo in love. Our days and nights are spent nursing and changing diapers. We are all very happy. Quin is a great sleeper. Averaging 2-3 hours at a time. This morning he slept for 4 and a half hours in a row from 5 am till 9:30. What a great kid. Yesterday was Kristen's 35th birthday. Thanks mom for giving birth to me. Birhtday has an entire new meaning to me now. To celebrate my birthday we spent the morning napping...very lovely. We then headed to the beach in the afternoon. Kai thought it was a bit bright, windy and cold. I am sure he will grow to love the beach. As you can see we love all of the variations of his name. Hope all is well.

Quincy Kai Is Home

QUINCY KAI HEADY was born on April 3, 2009 @ 7:02 pm after 17 hours of labor. His head resembled a young conehead child. He weighed 9lbs 2ounces, and was 20 1/2 inches long. The diameter of the head and chest was 14 1/4 inches. Kristen is doing great. The full details of the birth will be uploaded to the web site soon. It was a natural child birth with only 2 small interventions...Dr Klikoff broke his water bag @ 10 am and Kristen was forced to drink an entire PEPSI @ 6:10 pm. There was meconium in the water and little Quincy likely inhaled some. This led to a small baby infection discovered at 4pm on April 4th. He was given antibiotics for 60 hours through an IV in his foot. The nurses needed to check the IV every hour which was tough for sleeping. On April 6, he became jandise and needed light treatment for the next 24 hours. Quincy thought the light table was worst thant the birth canal. Although the videos are classic of our glowing baby. We got to stay together as a family through all of this even though Kristen was officially discharged on sunday. Quincy let us stay in his room till tuesday. Quincy is now a week old. He has the sweetest disposition, sleeps all the time, even while pooing & nursing. He is absolutly beautiful. His baby pictures are identical to Walter with Kristen's coloring and hair. The family is enjoying time home together.
