Happy Father's Day

hello everyone,
Quincy is now 11 weeks old. We spent father's day gardening and playing with Quincy, and having a family dinner in Felton. Ama Winkie knitted Walter & Quincy matching hats. Quincy also got a funky funky sweater and leg warmers. Belly time is getting exciting. Quincy can now officially roll from his belly to his back.
Quincy has begun taking regular naps. He sleeps from 9am til noon, 1 pm til 3pm, and then for a few more hours in the evening. He is also only waking up once in the middle of the night. I am so happy to be sleeping again. In general he likes to play for about an hour with me and then likes to habg out alone in his swing. Alredy very independent.
Quincy is also getting very vocal. He loves to talk in various coos and grunts. We spend hours conversing and smiling. Quincy also likes to stick his tongue out.
Hope everyone is doing well,
kristen, walter & quincy

sooo big....

dear friends & family,
Quincy is getting so big. At his 2 month appointment he weighed 12lbs 11 ounces. He is in the 90 % for length and 75% for weight. We were supposed to start his vaccination but I decided to wait another month. We have also realized that Quincy and my consumption of cow's milk do not mix, so no more ice cream for mom. I am back to my prebirth weight which is crazy. I think it has a lot to do with the fact that I have lost a lot of my muscle mass.
Quincy is now 10 weeks old. We have been having so much fun over the last month. Too much fun to update this blog. So as you can see Quincy loves to smile. It is great to have a happy face to go along with his very sad face. He loves to spend time on his belly. On rare occasions he can roll or really fall to one side and end up on his back. He hasn't figured out how to repeat the action. He is also beginning to be able to control his hands. His aunt Brynn came for a visit two weeks ago and brought him a bright orange star balloon. At first it was a little scary but now it is his favorite toy. He holds the string in his hand and love to make the balloon dance above him. It is amazing to watch him controlling the balloons movement. He also loves to hold his hands in fists above his face. It looks like he is ready for a fight. I think he likes that he can hold his hands still instead of having them spasm around him. He also can open the curtain next to his changing table by himself.
Quincy & I have been going on lots of walks. We have gotten to see a bobcat on our way up the canyon. We have also been walking with moms & babies from our birth class once a week on west cliff. Walter & I have also been taking QK to the beach most mornings and trading off baby time with surf time. I have paddled out twice and caught 1 wave!!! I am so excited to be back in the water.
