Go Quincy Go

Quincy officially began crawling on Oct 24, 2009. We were at a baby shower for little catfish at Rani & Jed's house which had carpet. Carpet is really a key ingredient for crawling, especially when you are just learning. So as you can see we have added a purple Yoga mat to the lovely decor of our 19X13 foot living space. One of Quincy's favorite activities is knocking over his rainbow blocks. He also loves his rolling turtles. Thanks Charlie for telling us about them. I don't know what Quincy will think when our house is finished and there will be multiple rooms for crawling and exploring. At the rate he is going he may be walking before we are back in our house. The plan is to move into the old part of the house on Jan 2, 2010. Hopefully we will also have permits and will be able to finish our bedrooms and bathroom which is currently red tagged.

Happy Halloween

Still working on tooth number three...

Yummy rice cereal...The Heady boys...

I love Pumpkins...

Super fish...

Quincy is seven months old!!!! Over the last month Quincy has taught himself to crawl. It is amazing to see him learning how to make his body move the way he wants. He is getting super fast, especially if ther is something that he shouldn't have near by. He can also get from a crawling position to a sitting up position. One night during dinner we looked down to see Quincy sitting on the floor. We didn't believe our eyes since he had never gotten himself into a sitting position alone before. He had his first major fall on mom's watch. We both cried a lot after he crawled off the bed onto the very very solid bamboo floors. A small bump on his head made me feel like a bad mom. Quincy has also learned to clap. YEAH!!!!! He claps all the time. Quincy is no longer the smallest Heady. Darwin Walter Frick Heady was born on Oct 20, 2009. Mom & baby are doing well. We got to visit on the eve of his birth. I can't believe QKai was ever that little. Quincy is over 18 pounds now, twice his birth weight. He has started eating food. So far rice cereal and chard have been smeared all over his face and hands and a little has made it to his belly. Although the first item that he ever digested was a mazine. He is also drinking from a cup, which he loves doing.. Quincy is starting to talk. The fart noises and growls are being replaced with DADALALABABA.
Hugs & smiles,
Quincy, Kristen & Walter
